    The Corporate Technical Publications and Standards (CTPS) Department is looking for a "go-to" person on the CTPS team to assist our CTPS Manager and CTPS coordinator with overseeing the CTPS programs, procedures, and technical training. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with tech writers and subject matter experts (SMEs) from all SkyWest departments.

    Primary Job Duties

    • Collaborates with the Manager CTPS and other Coordinator CTPS to manage the Workflow process by reviewing and moving Workflows.
    • Assists the Manager CTPS and other Coordinator CTPS with interdepartmental meetings/communications, trainings, and key decisions.
    • Fields special requests and determines if they require manager’s input.
    • Manages special projects, as needed.
    • Maintains a positive working relationship with CTPS staff.
    • Instills and exhibits SkyWest Guiding Principles in daily operations.
    • Assists CTPS employees in their job development and maintains own training and development.
    • Collaborates with the other Coordinator CTPS to manage the movement of FAA-controlled documents from revision to approval.
    • Collaborates with the other Coordinator CTPS to manage the development of programs, standards, procedures, and training of Arbortext Editor, Arbortext Content Manager (ACM), and Workflow. 
    • Interfaces with the SkyWest Information Technology (IT) and TechPubs Tech Departments regarding SkyWest Online/SkyWest Connex, TechView, Workflow, and Arbortext applications. 
    • Interfaces with SkyWest technical writers when changes are made to the programs or applications listed above.
    • Reviews and revises all CTPS Department manuals and training documents for currency and consistency. 
    • Completes the duties of the Manager CTPS and/or CTPS Specialist, when delegated. 
    • Completes other duties, as assigned.


    Minimum Requirements

    • Proficient in Microsoft (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio), Adobe Acrobat, and Arbortext Editor and ACM 
    • Familiar with Doc Admin, and image editing software (e.g., InkScape)
    • Excellent communication and editing skills 
    • Concern for detail and accuracy in all published/printed documents 
    • Excellent organizational and technical computer skills 
    • Motivated to learn about and manage the programs that CTPS uses 
    • Able to read, understand, and retain knowledge of various authoring and editing programs 
    • Works well independently and as part of a team 
    • Ability to demonstrate strong working knowledge of SkyWest operations 
    • Ability to work well under pressure 
    • Multi-tasks effectively 
    • Must attend/complete required job-related training 
    • Travel is required
