Primary Job Duties

  • Primarily responsible for the planning, preparation, and conduct of audits and inspections
  • Performs internal and external audits and evaluations
  • Ensures audit/evaluation results are entered into the audit database
  • Responsible for the follow-up of corrective actions and verification of compliance
  • Attends Flight Operations Safety meetings
  • Return phone calls and emails in a timely manner; follow through with documentation/information requests
  • Assist with special projects, reports, etc., as required
  • Assist the Flight Operations Safety team with mainline partner, DOT, FAA (SAS), and IATA (IOSA) audits
  • Assists with audit schedule development
  • Facilitates process measurement analysis from the SRM process, when required
  • Follows the audit creation and calibration policies and procedures
  • Travel, when required
  • Maintains auditor currency in accordance with Internal Evaluation and Audit Program SP 5100 Chapter 01 Section 01 Internal Evaluation Program (IEP)
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Two years of aviation or auditing experience
  • Professional demeanor towards peers and all levels of management
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Possess knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations to determine compliance
  • Safety Assurance System (SAS) knowledge
  • The ability to review and analyze documented processes, observe and document in detail compliance, if necessary the communication of findings or concerns, as well as initiate documentation of findings
  • Familiar with root cause and corrective action principles and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills to determine compliance and risk
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Work well under pressure to meet designated timeliness and Company needs
  • Excellent organizational and personal computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to learn Company auditing software
  • Travel required (50% - 75%); must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • May not possess any current counseling statements or similar corrective action in their personnel file
  • Must attend and satisfactorily complete required initial and recurrent training
  • Possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (preferred)

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel, when required
  • Ability to periodically stand, walk, and climb stairs
